To preserve the quintessential character of its products, MA PROVENCE has replaced the ubiquitous plastic bottle with an elegant estagnon, pronounced “estagnoun” in Provencal. According to the French Academy, the word estagnon first appeared in the 19th century.
This bottle, originally used for exporting olive oil and perfume oils from Southern France to the rest of the world, is now made of a noble and recyclable material. Even today, the perfumers of Grasse continue to use these aluminium bottles to protect the precious contents from temperature variations, air and light.
To conserve this bountiful nature, Ma Provence also offers ecological and economical refills of these products, packaged in soft estagnons. Finally, Ma Provence has also used the know-how of master soapmakers to produ e Marseille soap, packaged in estagnon wrappers in order to protect its outstanding qualities.
