The process for making the famous “Marseille Soap” was first described by Duhamel du Monceau, member of the French Royal Academy of Science, in his book “l’Art du Savonnier” in 1774.

It has changed very little since then, and still has a wonderful healthy and natural image.

Ma Provence uses only the original, authentic method, and selects the highest quality ingredients for its Marseille bar soaps and Marseille liquid soaps. The bar soaps are wrapped in aluminium estagnon wrappers, to protect their outstanding qualities.
